Data Processing Agreement

Summary of our DPA
- Avidnote is provided by Avidemic AB, a company based in Sweden and subject to the GDPR.
- Your data is stored on GDPR-compliant servers in Sweden, with backups in EU data centres. Under the DPA, AI processing runs on Microsoft Azure OpenAI in Sweden, within the EU.
- You keep full ownership of everything you upload to Avidnote. We take no ownership of user data.
- Your data is never used to train AI models, and is never shared without your permission.
- All subprocessors comply with the GDPR and are listed on our subprocessor page.
- New subprocessors are announced in advance (at least 30 days for hosting and storage), subscribers are notified by email, and you can object within 14 days.
- In urgent cases we only use subprocessors based in the EU/EEA that comply with the GDPR.
